is a small alpaca stud at the foot of Mt Victoria in the beautiful Hartley Valley, NSW, Australia. Our aim is to produce SRS fine, heavily fleeced, dense alpacas under the influence of SRS principles. This is being achieved by using the Fine dense stud male Hawthorn Cottage Iam over a lot of our females.

He produces a dense fine heavy cutting fleece, 6.2kg Dec 07, with beautiful crimp and matchstick-like staples in his cria. We also have Bonny Belle Variance, a solid light fawn son of Golden Gates Julius, who will complement Hawthorn Cottage Iam in our breeding programme.

Golden Gates Julius is a son of Don Julio and has been improving our females and producing strong, healthy cria with superb crimp and fine fleece. Julius recieved the broad ribbon for Champion First fleece at Hawkesbury Spring show 2001 and still has it, with his fleece winning first in it's class at Bathurst Royal 2006 and 2nd in 2007. He is passing this exceptional fine, crimpy, fleece to his progeny.

His father ILR Peruvian Don Julio at 6.5 years was 21µ  and came 2nd in the National USA in 1995 & 1996 . Don Julio's sire was 1991 National supreme Champion of Peru.

Hawthorn Cottage Iam is a Superfine Son of Cedar House Woolmaker, Grandsire Cedar House Peruvian Ayaviri, Great Grandsire Purumbete Highlander, with Purrumbete Inti genetics on Dam's side.

Iam is working at stud at Bonny Belle, and has had several crias some of which are available to view at Bonny Belle. His fleece won first in it's class at Royal Bathurst show 2006 and 2007 and cut 6.2kg of fleece in 12 and a half months Dec 07. Bonny Belle Variance is a superfine son of Golden Gates Julius possessing a bigger frame than his father but with the superior qualities of his fathers fleece.

He is a well grown upstanding Solid Light fawn certified male who is a fine and very keen stud sire. Variance won third place in his class at Hawkesbury show 2006 and Bathurst Royal 2007 and 2nd in his fleece 2007..
